After having a near-death experience in a car crash, a woman decides that her life needs rearranging so she heads home to Montreal, quits her modeling job, and asks an old friend to impregnate her. The friend's always had an unrequited thing for her, but he's involved with someone else. So, hoping to not really have to get involved in her plans, he imposes one condition -- the conception has to take place in the desert.
A stylish, well-acted film, it pits the loneliness and isolation of the characters against the empty and arid vastness of the salt flats outside of Salt Lake City.
And, no, there isn't really a 32nd day in August.
