Alphée, five, the daughter of filmmaker Hugo Latulippe and anti-globalization activist Laure Waridel, has an extremely rare genetic disease called Smith-Lemli-Opitz Syndrome, which prevents full neurological and muscular development. Not wanting to place her in a special school, her parents instead move to a small village in the Swiss Alps, where, along with Alphée and her older brother Colin, they settle down for one year. Enjoying the bucolic meadows and surrounding mountains, the couple manages to create a family bubble within which Alphaeus learns to evolve at her own pace, without pressure or judgment.
