Gina (Blake Lively), who went blind when she was a child due to an accident that also killed both her parents, is now living with her husband James (Jason Clarke) in Bangkok. When a doctor tells her she may regain sight in at least one eye with the help of a corneal transplant, she agrees to the surgery.
All goes well and Gina is overjoyed to see colors again. She dyes her hair blonde and begins to dress more provocatively, which bothers James, especially as he realizes she's no longer totally dependent on him. Meanwhile, Gina begins to view her life and marriage with her husband differently.
