January 2009. In response to provocation by Palestine's Hamas government, the Israeli army launched a massive military operation that resulted in thousands of civilian casualties. In the aftermath of the bombing, the territory is desolate: building walls have collapsed, olive groves destroyed, an amusement park and zoo ruined. Despite the suffering and grief, people are busy rebuilding their lives, not without feeling resentment against the enemy.
