A League of Their Own (Prime Video)
In 1943, Carson Shaw (Abbi Jacobson), whose husband Charlie (Patrick J. Adams) is overseas fighting in WWII, drops everything to travel to Chicago to try out for the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. There, she meets best friends Greta Gill (D'Arcy Carden) and Jo De Luca (Melanie Field), as well as other women who dream of playing pro baseball.
When local player Max Chapman (Chanté Adams) shows up to the tryouts, she's turned away because she's Black, even though she's one of the best pitchers they could ever find. With the support of her best friend Clance (Gbemisola Ikumelo), Max has to come up with a new way to pursue her dream of becoming a professional basebal player.
An adaptation of the 1992 movie of the same name starring Tom Hanks, Geena Davis and Madonna.
