Having recently split from her longtime boyfriend, Norwegian scientist Marie takes her father's place at an important conference in Paris on the actual weight of a kilo. During the conference, global prototypes will be recalibrated against the international standard.
When her father dies, Marie, usually so composed, falls to pieces. In Paris, she meets a man who questions her lonely, measured existence and he helps her slowly pick up the pieces of her broken life.
