Customer service not a big priority for the coffee shop staff.

This a beautiful theater in a convenient place. We went on a Saturday night and it was moderately busy. It had several cool concession stands and of particular interest to me was the bar. We were going to see Avatar and I knew the immersive, 3D experience would be a bit overwhelming at times. So I bought 1 beer at the beginning of the film, and when some major action and intense emotional parts of the movie came up about 2 hours in, I was desperately ready for another. I ran out quick as I didn’t want to miss too much but I was feeling extremely anxious and was looking forward to the beer to calm my nerves. The main bar was closed so I ran to the coffee shop that also sold beer. The staff may had seen me run their way if they had been paying any attention but they were far more concerned with each other. I stood at the counter and the one I could see didn’t even acknowledge I’d walked up and was still speaking to the other staff member who was in the kitchen area behind a wall. I finally had to ask if they were open and they replied yes but it was like they had no consciousness of where they worked -and that if I was at their counter, it meant I stepped away from the film I was watching and that I needed something bad enough to do that. Quick service seems like the name of the game in this context. Maybe my years in the service industry color my judgement on their performance but I haven’t experienced such unresponsive customer service since the last time I visited England. Ordering a Blue Moon took way too long, the staff didn’t really know what a Blue Moon was or if they stocked it, they slowly asked for my ID (I’m clearly middle aged), then slowly looked for the beer -with zero sense of urgency, then they wouldn’t take cash (which wasn’t their fault of course but also annoying). It just was a weird to have so many hurtles to just ordering a quick beer during an intense 3 hour immersive film.

Rudest concession employee

First off we bought tickets for the IMAX theater in found it very hard to locate! There are blue lines on the walls throughout and made it confusing as to where the theater actually was, we had to ask twice.. also, ordered a small popcorn and was given a bag missing 1/4 off the top, when I asked for it to be filled completely she refused saying it would make a mess! Completely rude! I asked for the mgr bcs of her attitude and she said she WAS the mgr. 🙄 I will not be going to this theater again!
