Frustration with seating

February 10, 2023

We were told the ONLY seats available were in the first and second row, but that wasn't true! Also, the sound was WAY too loud. Not a pleasant experience.

Discriminatory policy, selectively enforced.

July 27, 2019

Walked to see a movie at this establishment. Was turned away for having a normal sized backpack which I wear when walking and have brought to the place twice before without issue. Felt embarrassed being pushed to the side to wait for a manager while others streamed through, including many women with bags which exceeded their policy-defined size of 12x12 inches. Was berated by the manager who had decided not to let me through anyway for having a reusable water bottle in the side pocket of my backpack because "We don't allow outside food and drink." Apparently he doesn't know why people who go walking in the summer heat should be carrying water. Manager told me like a child he hopes I can come back and see the movie once I'm good and ready to follow the rules. Like hell I'm ever going back there.

Poor box office experience

January 28, 2019

Went to see The Mule". Box office attendanct said it was "full and the only seats available were in the front row". We sat there and after the movie started, I looked back to see the theatre was almost empty - about 6 couples in the back. Wrote a letter to the management to file complaint. No response or action taken. Apparently, their computerized chart was faulty as all the best seats were NOT sold!!! Thank goodness for the recliner seats as we were able to see the movie from the 1st row. Concession area was messy with popcorn all over the floor. Attendant only cleaned up 1/2 of the area and neglected to sweep up the complete area of service.

Love the new recliners!

August 13, 2018

This has always been a good theater. I've been bringing my family here for over 10 years, and it's even better now that they've upgraded all the theaters to the new recliner seating. We've never had a negative experience, and we've seen dozens of movies here over the years. We live 5 minutes from another theater, but we always drive half an hour to Tinseltown because it's the best movie theater in southern Oregon.

Worst customer experience

July 14, 2018

Terrible experience. Was accused of sitting in wrong seat and argued with rudely before they realized I was correct. Took up 6 mins of film. Twenty minutes later another person comes up to me ( apparently a manager?) And in front of my 11 year old tells me I need to " come with them or they are calling police" The Ticket checker had told this " boss" I had assaulted him. This is not a joke. My husband who was witness told manager he was mistaken and then the " manager" started arguing with us. With 30 mins of film now down the tube I insisted I get my money back. My whole family walked out with the costumers who had been sitting next to us apologizing for the terrible establishment as they also witnessed the whole thing, again, during the film.

So sad, people have no idea what they are missing...

January 17, 2018

Wow. What a sad theater. We feel sorry for people who have to see a movie here! Easy, simple technology that has been out since the 90's and this theater doesn't have it yet. 😧 This theater does have surround sound, however they are missing the best part! This is the first theater we have been to (and we have been to quite a few all over the U.S ), that does NOT have the main sound (the main characters/actors talking) as surround sound. It only comes from the FRONT in these theaters. Are you kidding me?! That's so retro and terrible. Oh my word people have no clue. No clue what they are missing out on! You are really getting ripped off seeing a movie here when they still have the MAIN sound only coming from the front. The difference is extraordinary. Huge, horrible difference. It kills the entire movie experience. People that say it's fine or great, bless their hearts, they only say that because they don't know how much better a movie is when ALL the sound..voices etc are ALL around you and not just this muffled and low garbage coming from the front. Pathetic.Terrible. Everyone would complain if they had a taste of what a movie sounds like in a real theater. An updated one. Not one still stuck back in the 80's. And the fact they charge full price is astonishing. Should be discounted price all the time. It's kind of unethical playing movies with garbage sound when this is 2018 and most theaters have updated/changed their sound out at least 10 years ago. It's not rocket science. So is money or laziness the reason to keep the sound as is? Knowingly robbing people out of a great movie experience, what a shame.
