Originally founded as Northeast Theatre Corporation in 1936 by Michael Redstone, National Amusements now has over 30 theaters across the U.S. with four chains: Showcase Cinemas, Cinema de Lux, Multiplex Cinemas and KinoStar. It also has theaters in the U.K. and Latin America. In total, it has 950 screens in operation. The company is headquartered in Norwood, Massachusetts and since 1967, Sumner Redstone has been CEO.
