Founded in Austin, Texas in 1997 by Tim and Karrie League, the Alamo Drafthouse is famous for its strict policies regarding cinema etiquette and made a name for itself with its in-theater dining and drinking service, including serving cold beer. What began as a small one-screen theater converted from a parking garage on Caloradio Street has eventually expanded to over 20 multi-theater venues across Texas, Colorado, Michigan, Missouri, New York and Virginia.
