While growing up in a small village a 90-minute drive west of London, William Moseley fell into acting when a casting director came to his elementary school in 1996, looking for a village child to play a role in a BBC-TV period drama.
Although William didn't get the part (he was too old for one role and too young for the other), he loved the auditioning process. The casting director was impressed by his energy and signed him up with a small agency 45 minutes away. He was with them for five years, but in that time only landed a small, uncredited role in the TV movie Goodbye Mr. Chips (2002), so when a casting notice went out for the major motion picture The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005), his agent didn't submit him.
As it turned out, the casting director who'd first noticed William remembered him and booked an audition for the now 15-year-old. He auditioned over a period of 18 months, finally winning the part of Peter Pevensie, one of four siblings who enter a strange world when they step through a magical wardrobe. He would later go on to star in the film's sequel The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008).
Since then, William has had roles in films such as Carrie Pilby(2016) and the horror flick Friend Request (2017).
In his spare time, William enjoys playing many different kinds of sports. He lives in Gloucestershire with his parents and siblings.
