Sara Sampaio Biography

Born in Porto, Portugal, Sara Sampaio began modeling at 16 after being discovered during a local casting call. She quickly rose to international prominence after appearing in the 2013 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, becoming the first Portuguese model ever featured. That same year, she joined the Victoria’s Secret Angel team, maintaining her role until 2018.

Her modeling career includes high-fashion editorials in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Elle, along with campaigns for brands such as Calvin Klein, Prada, Armani Beauty, and Bottega Veneta.

In recent years, Sara has transitioned into acting. She made her feature film debut in Crisis (2021), followed by appearances in the miniseries Sombra (2021), the horror anthology series American Horror Stories (2022) and the Paramount+ film At Midight (2023). In 2025, she played Eve Teschmacher in the summer blockbuster Superman (2025). Her growing screen presence reflects a confident shift from the runway to more dramatic roles on screen.

Off the runway and set, Sara is passionate about animal welfare, often partnering with rescue organizations and advocating for pet adoption. A fluent speaker of Portuguese, English, and French, she also shares her love of fitness, travel, and mental wellness with her global audience.
