Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Samantha Lorraine showed an early passion for performing, Her parents encouraged her to take acting classes and participate in local theater. She first appeared onscreen in the Nickelodeon show Kid Stew (2020), and later earned attention as young Hope Bennett on AMC’s The Walking Dead: World Beyond (2020).

Lorraine broke out with her lead role as Lydia Rodriguez Katz in Netflix’s You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah (2023), playing a smart and witty best friend opposite Adam and Sunny Sandler.

In her most high profile role yet, she starred as Dora in the live-action adventure film Dora and the Search for Sol Dorada (2025), taking over the iconic role in a standalone sequel premiering July 2 on Paramount+ and Nickelodeon. ~Erin Grace
