Robert Capron got his acting start in Providence at Trinity Repertory Company in their production of A Christmas Carol, as Turkey Boy. Robert has since moved to film, appearing in major motion pictures such as Bride Wars (2009) alongside Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway, The Sorcerer's Apprentice (2010) with Nicolas Cage and the Diary of a Wimpy Kid franchise, appearing in the original film as well as the sequels Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules (2011) and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days (2012), the latter being his most famous and prominent role.
In fact, his role as Rowley Jefferson in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid franchise has earned him two nominations for the Best Performance in a Feature Film (Supporting Actor) and one award for Best Performance in a Feature Film (Ensemble Cast) at the Young Artist Awards. Capron can also be seen in films such as The Three Stooges (2012) with Will and Grace's Sean Hayes and MadTV's Will Sasso and Hachi: A Dog's Tale (2009) alongside Richard Gere.
Robert can also be heard with Winona Ryder and Martin Short as Bob in Tim Burton's animated movie Frankenweenie (2012).
Robert currently lives in Scituate, Rhode Island with his mother, Kaye Capron, who stars as his character's mom in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies.
