Reneé Rapp was born in Huntersville, North Carolina. She attended Hopewell High School, then transferred to Northwest School of the Arts. She started her acting career when she was cast as Wendla in a regional production of Spring Awakening (2018). Reneé continued in the theater until she landed the part of Regina George in the Broadway musical Mean Girls (2019) after turning down the role in a touring production.
