Born and raised in Toronto, Rebecca knew from an early age that she wanted to perform. At the age of ten she performed in musicals. When she was twelve she wrote and starred as Dorothy in her own production of The Wizard of Oz. A former model, Rebecca began acting professionally at 17, taking acting classes from Ryerson teachers at the Actors Studio in Toronto. Her first appearances in front of the camera were in Holly Cole's music video Onion Girl and Chris Cummings's music video I Waited.
After working on numerous Canadian productions and television commercials, Rebecca traveled to Los Angeles to audition for the role of Helen in Troy starring Brad Pitt. Although she didn't get the part, she stayed in Los Angeles to continue her acting career. Her first guest-starring role was on the CBS series Threshold playing the role of Emily Biggs/Candy Cane, an alien who sleeps with Peter Dinklage in order to infect him with a virus.
Her roles continued on the Emmy Award television series West Wing as Carrie Marino, a political junkie who attended Yale and dated Ron Silver's character. On the television series Big Shots, Rebecca played the role of Gina, Dylan McDermott's girlfriend. Since then, she has been on CSI Miami as well as Shark, starring James Wood. Although her scenes were cut, she also had the opportunity to be cast and work with Kevin Spacey in 21. She also had a role in the Beverly Hill's Film Festival People's Choice Award winning short film Escape. Additionally, she plays Mira on Party Down on the Starz Network.
In her spare time, when not traveling, Rebecca works on oil paintings, enjoys having game nights at home, reading and writing. She is also an avid sports fan and for years, played softball and tennis.
Rebecca has a home in Pacific Palisades.
