A native of Philadelphia, Meyers attended Washington D.C.'s American University before moving to L.A. where she found work as a story editor for legendary producer Ray Stark. She found immediate success with her first writer/producer gig when she teamed up with Charles Shyer to bring Goldie Hawn to the screen in Private Benjamin.
