Michael Dorman was born in Auckland, New Zealand and lived there until he was 10 years old, when his family moved to Bundaberg, Australia. Michael made his acting debut in the film Spudmonkey (2001), playing the role of Trent. In 2002, he made his television debut on the show The Secret Life of Us (2002-2005), playing Christian Hayden.
