Mark Myers was born in Scarborough, Ontario. He has five brothers and a sister. He began getting interested in making movies after watching films by Steven Spielberg such as Jurassic Park, as well as George Lucas' Star Wars movies. After high school, Mark went to the University of Toronto, where he took Cinema Studies and Visual Arts.
Mark has directed music videos and promos for artists such as Fun., The Arkells, Lights, The Midway State, Rebel Emergency and Serena Ryder, and clients such as Shell, Koodo, and Pepsi. He received a gold PromaxBDA award and a Gemini nomination for Best Reality Series for disBand, which he directed, wrote and produced. He has worked at MuchMusic in Toronto for 10 years.
His first feature film, Delivery, is a documentary about standup comedy. In it, as Mark's wife is expecting their first baby in 2011, he and his friends decide to set a goal of doing stand up comedy on stage in front of complete strangers. Along the way, they learn interesting things about themselves, life and comedy.
Mark lives in Toronto with his wife Erin and their son. They are currently expecting their second child.
