When a noise in the middle of the night wakes Chris (Nnamdi Asomugha) he goes into his kitchen to check it out. There he finds an elderly woman bleeding on the floor, with one of his kitchen knives on the floor next to her. As a young Black family, Chris and Alex (Aja Naomi King) must decide if telling the truth will set them free, or if they have to blur the lines of the night's events.
