Born in Orangeburg, South Carolina, Manish Dayal graduated from George Washington University with a B.A. before studying acting at The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts in New York City.
His big break came when he landed the role of Raj Kher in the TV series 90210 in 2011. He played in the series for a year before being cast as a regular in the ABC Family TV drama series Switched at Birth.
Manish's first starring role in a major motion picture was in The Hundred-Foot Journey, opposite Helen Mirren. In it, he plays a talented Indian chef named Hassan, whose family moves to France to have a better life. They open a restaurant across the road from a fancy French restaurant and find themselves caught up in a rivalry with the owner (Mirren), while Hassan falls for a French girl. His next major motion picture film is the drama Viceroy's House (2017).
