Malina Weissman was born in New York City, and works there as a model and actress. At the young age of eight, she had already started her career at a model, and has modeled for major designers and brands such as Ralph Lauren, H&M, Levi’s, DKNY, and Calvin Klein.
Malina also worked as an actress, appearing in commercials for brands such as My Little Pony, Maybelline and Purell. In 2014, she made her film debut in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, playing a younger version of Megan Fox’s character, April O’Neil.
In 2015, she appeared in the superhero series Supergirl as a young Kara Zor-El, and in 2016, made an appearance in the film Thirsty. Her most recent role was as Rebecca Brand in the comedy film Nine Lives, playing the daughter of Kevin Spacey and Jennifer Garner.
Malina has also been cast in the lead role of Violet Baudelaire in the upcoming Netflix series, A Series of Unfortunate Events. The young actress can speak fluent Spanish, German, and English, and enjoys singing, dancing, horseback riding, and synchronized swimming.
