Born: September 24, 1961

Luc Picard was born in Québec, Canada, with his native language being French. He graduated from the Conservatoire d'art dramatique, a French Canadian higher education school specializing in music and theatre.

He started acting in films first with small roles, making his debut in the French language film Comment faire l'amour avec un nègre sans se fatiguer (1989).

He became well known after his frequent appearances on Québec television, including Scoop II (1993), Omerta (1996) and Vice caché (2006). Luc is recognized for his acting as well as his directing in films such as Audition (2005), Babine (2008) and Cross My Heart (2017). He plays Alphonse Tremblay in the film French Girl (2024) starring Zach Braff and Vanessa Hudgens.

Luc was married to Isabel Richer until their divorce in 2013. They have a son who is a successful Québec actor named Henri Richer-Picard. ~Mackenzie Heidrick
