Born: January 23, 1993
Born to actor father Bill Pullman and modern dancer mother Tamara Hurwitz, Lewis Pullman was raised in Los Angeles surrounded by creativity. It didn't take long for him to decide his future would be creative in nature as well.
Pullman began onscreen with short films before making his feature debut alongside his father in The Ballad of Lefty Brown (2017). His breakout came in 2018 with leading roles in The Strangers: Prey at Night (2018) and Bad Times at the El Royale (2018). He earned much notice for his portrayal of Major Major Major Major in Hulu’s Catch-22 (2019).
Pullman played Lt. Bob Floyd in Top Gun: Maverick (2022), a huge film grossing over US $1.4 billion worldwide. That same year, he also starred in Amazon’s sci-fi series Outer Range (2022) and was featured in Lessons in Chemistry (2023), earning him Emmy and Critics’ Choice television nominations.
In HBO Max’s adaptation of the Stephen King novel Salem’s Lot (2024), Pullman starred as Ben Mears. His star rose higher when he took on the role of Robert Reynolds/Sentry in Marvel's Thunderbolts (2025), and he is set to reprise the role in Avengers: Doomsday as well as co-star with Sally Field in Remarkably Bright Creatures — an adaptation of Shelby Van Pelt's bestselling debut novel, published in May 2022. ~Erin Grace
