Kenny Wormald was born in Boston and brought up in Stoughton, Massachusetts. He began taking dance lessons at the age of six after his mother witnessed him dancing along with a New Kids on the Block video. His talent developed quickly and at 11 he won the Master Dance of New England, at 13 Junior Mr. Dance of New England, Teen Dancer of Boston at 14, and at 15 he was crowned Teen Mr. Dance of New England.
He made his TV debut in 2002 as a dancer on an episode of The Drew Carey Show. On the big screen, Kenny has played dancers in You Got Served (2004) and Clerks II (2006). In 2007 he starred on Jennifer Lopez's MTV dance reality series Dancelife, which revolved around the lives of Los Angeles based dancers trying to make it in the industry.
Kenny landed his first screen acting role in the straight-to-DVD dance movie Center Stage: Turn it Up (2008). After teen hearthrobs Zac Efron and then Chace Crawford were cast in the big screen remake of Footloose, then pulled out, producers decided to go with a trained dancer and cast Kenny in the lead as Ren McCormack, the role played in the original by Kevin Bacon.
He has also worked as a choreographer on various stage productions and has danced for tours with Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera. Although Kenny was in a relationship with Ashley Roberts of the Pussycat Dolls for three years, he's currently single.
