Keegan Connor Tracy was born in Windsor, Ontario as Tracy Armstrong and grew up in southern Ontario. Although she's been very successful as an actress, she actually went to school for psychology, earning a degree in Social Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Tracy made her acting debut in 1997 on an episode of the TV series Viper. She continued to land guest appearances on multiple shows before securing her first ever series regular role as Audrey Malone on the Showtime Networks hour-long comedy series Beggars and Choosers in 1999. That same year she made her feature film debut with a small role in the crime thriller Double Jeopardy (1999).
Tracy has gone on to be recognized for her work on television. She received both Leo and Gemini award nominations for her role as Jackie on an episode of the Canadian drama series Da Vinci's Inquest and a Leo Award nomination for her regular role as Diane Hughes on the series Jake 2.0 (2003 to 2004).
She also had a regular role on Battlestar Galactica (2007 to 2009). Her most recent fame comes from her recurring roles on popular television series, including as the Blue Fairy on Once Upon a Time, Miss Blaire Watson on Bates Motel from 2013 to 2015 and most recently as Professor Lipson on the SyFy series The Magicians from 2016 to 2020.
Shortly after her time on Once Upon a Time came to an end, Tracy took on a new role in the acting world, making her directorial debut with the short film, La Fille, which debuted on the festival circuit in 2019. She is currently working on her second film.
She has acted in a variety of feature films over the course of her career, including Final Destination 2 (2003), White Noise (2005) and The Company You Keep (2012). She starred as Jordan Blair in the zombie film franchise Dead Rising: Watchtower (2015) and the sequel Dead Rising: Endgame (2016). Younger viewers may recognize her as Queen Belle from the hit Disney franchise Descendants and its sequels. She was most recently seen in the horror film Z (2020).
Tracy has also started a career as an author. She published her first children’s book, Mommy’s 26 Careers, in 2016 and released another in 2018 titled This is a Job for Mommy!: An A-Z Adventure. She is currently working on her newest project, A Keegolicious Cookbook, about food and stories she loves.
Tracy lives in Vancouver with her husband, E. Mitchell, and their two daughters. ~Brie Davis
