Born: January 26, 1994
Joseph Quinn was born in London, England and attended the private school, Emanuel, followed by the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). He has been acting since he was young, performing in a play during his nursery years.
He began acting professionally after graduating from LAMDA, taking on a lead role in the BBC One series Dickensian (2015) as Arthur Havisham. Joseph also starred in the series Howards End (2017) as Leonard Bast, and the short film KIN (2017) as Jamie. He is also known for his work in the theatre, appearing in Deathwatch (2016), Wish List (2017), and Mosquitoes (2017).
In 2022, Joseph gained eminence through his role as Eddie in Stranger Things, and has since played starring roles in blockbuster films such as A Quiet Place: Day One (2024), Gladiator II (2024) as co-emperor Caracalla, and as Johnny Storm/Human Torch in The Fantastic Four (2025).
He has three award nominations including the 2023 Just About Write Award for Outstanding Supporting Performance in Stranger Things, the 2022 BreakTudo Award for International Crush, and the 2022 Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Streaming Series. He has won the MTV Movie and TV Award for Breakthrough Performance.
He plays the guitar, much like his character in Stranger Things. He also speaks Italian, and his secret skill is being a pretty decent chef. ~Mackenzie Heidrick
