Date of Birth: April 25
Raised in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, John DeLuca knew from a young age that he loved entertaining people and making them laugh. Although he was a talented athlete in school, he finally gave in to his desire to perform during his senior year of high school, when he auditioned for a school production of The Wizard of Oz and landed the role of the Scarecrow.
He went on to participate in other school productions, and wound up playing the role of Kenickie in Grease. He also appeared in community theatre productions and attended Fordham University in New York City, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre.
John's singing ability came in handy when he played a singer on an episode of the hit TV series 30 Rock in 2009. The same year he made a guest appearance on Ugly Betty, playing the role of Kevin.
More guest roles on shows such as Wizards of Waverly Place, Jessie and The Secret Life of the American Teenager followed.
John had the chance to sink his teeth into a more dramatic role when he played Colin Hemingway in the indie film Hemingway (2012), alongside Alan Thicke and Charlene Tilton. His performance was the highlight of the movie.
In 2013, he proved to be a triple threat when he not only acted and sang but danced in the popular Disney Channel movie Teen Beach Movie (2013), playing biker gang leader Butchy opposite Ross Lynch and Maia Mitchell.
He also played a recurring role as Cole Farrell on the ABC Family series Twisted from 2013 to 2014.
John reprised his role in Teen Beach 2, which was another instant hit when it aired in 2015, and played a lifeguard whose aspirations are to join the navy in Paramount's feature film Staten Island Summer (2015), produced by Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels, and co-starring Ashley Greene and Method Man.
John, who has two younger brothers, can walk on stilts and juggle. He enjoys playing any sport, as well as watching movies and going to the beach.
