JEREMY SISTO

Date of Birth: October 6, 1974

Jeremy Sisto was born in the small northern California town of Grass Valley, where he lived for the first six years of his life with his older sister Meadow, his father (a jazz musician), and his actress mother in a house built of rocks set on 20 acres of land.

After his parents divorced, Jeremy and Meadow moved to Chicago with their mother, where they began performing onstage in theater productions. When he was 10, Jeremy appeared in rock group Twisted Sister's music video "We're Not Gonna Take It." He was 16 when he made his movie debut in Grand Canyon (1991) starring Danny Glover, Steve Martin and Kevin Kline.

The following year, Jeremy made his TV movie debut in Desperate Choices: To Save My Child (1992) starring Reese Witherspoon. After high school, he was accepted into UCLA and moved to California but dropped out before finishing, to work in films such as the thriller The Crew (1994) with Viggo Mortensen, Hideaway and Clueless (both 1995) with Alicia Silverstone, White Squall (1996) with Jeff Bridges and Without Limits (1998) starring Billy Crudup.

Sisto has continued to play a variety of roles both on TV and in film. He's best known for his role as Bill Chenowith on the hit series Six Feet Under. In 2003, he won a Best Feature Film Actor award at the Dahlonega International Film Festival and a Maverick Acting Award at the Cinequest San Jose Film Festival for his leading role in The Movie Hero (2003). He did several small straight-to-video films before landing the recurring role as Detective Cyrus Lupo on the television series Law & Order in 2007. After the show ended in 2010, he starred in the 2011 drama film Sironia and the 2012 comedy film Robot & Frank.

He also occasionally returns to his theater roots, as in 2004, when he played a troubled baseball player in the Geffen Playhouse production of the play Take Me Out, in Los Angeles.

Sisto, who is divorced from actress Marisa Ryan, enjoys playing guitar, basketball and ping pong and plays on the World Poker Tour in the Hollywood Home games for charity.
