Jeremy Jordan grew up in Texas, singing as a young teen and then branching out into acting in high school. After graduating from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theatre, he was offered roles in several popular Broadway productions including the role of Tom Sawyer in Big River in 2008 and the Broadway performance of Rock of Ages in 2009. Also in 2009, he starred as an alternate in the Broadway adaptation of West Side Story in the leading role of Tony. The following year, he landed yet another lead playing Clyde Barrow in a series of pre-Broadway shows of Bonnie & Clyde in Florida.
Jordan made his big debut in film with the musical comedy Joyful Noise (2012) alongside Dolly Parton, Queen Latifah, and Keke Palmer.
Since then, he's appeared in the series Smash, the film The Last Five Years (2014) with Anna Kendrick, the series Supergirl, and most recently, Disney's Newsies: The Broadway Musical! (2017).
In 2012, he married Ashley Spencer, who is also a Broadway performer.
