Geoff Stults was born in Detroit, Michigan, but raised in Pikes Peak, Colorado, where his family moved when he was five. His mother works with abused children and his father is an appliance repairman.
After high school, Geoff landed a football scholarship to study at Whittier College in Whittier, California, where his younger brother and best friend, George, transferred after initially enrolling at the University of Southern Colorado. After graduation, Geoff played semi-professional football in Austria for the Danube Dragons for a short period of time. He was back in the States when George was discovered by a talent agent while having lunch in Los Angeles with a friend. George took Geoff with him when he went to meet the agent and told her they were a package deal. She signed them both and the brothers immediately began taking acting lessons. Soon after, they began landing guest appearances on television.
Geoff's first television role was playing a mailman on the hit TV series Everybody Loves Raymond in 2000. The same year, he played in three consecutive episodes of the MTV series Undressed, followed by guest appearances on S Club 7 in L.A. and Spin City.
In 2001 he landed a regular role as Ben Kinkirk on the hit TV drama 7th Heaven, playing the boyfriend of Jessica Biel's character (Mary Camden). In 2002, George landed a recurring role as the brother of Geoff's character, as well as the love interest of Beverly Mitchell's character (Lucy Camden). Geoff stayed with the show until 2006 (George was on it until it concluded in 2007). In the meantime, Geoff landed a recurring role as Peter Holland on the new Fox series Reunion (2005-2006), followed by a starring role as Eddie Latekka on the ABC drama series October Road (2007-2008).
In the meantime, he'd also begun to break into feature films with small roles in Wedding Crashers (2005) starring Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, and The Break-Up (2006) starring Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston.
From 2010 to 2017, Geoff played recurring and/or starring roles on no less than seven TV series, including the starring role of Sergeant Pete Hill on Fox's military comedy Enlisted (2014), Murph on the CBC sitcom The Odd Couple (2015-2017) starring Matthew Perry and Thomas Lennon and Mitch on the Netflix Original series Grace and Frankie (2015-2017), starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin.
Geoff has also made the move to starring roles in major motion pictures such as Unforgettable (2017), starring with Katherine Heigl and 12 Strong (2018), alongside Chris Hemsworth.
In his spare time, Geoff competes in Triathlons with actor friends such as Scott Eastwood, Steven McQueen and Parker Young.
