Garrett Wareing loved the arts from a young age and was fortunate enough to have parents who nurtured and supported his creativity. Thanks to his middle school drama teacher, his love of acting went from a hobby to a passion.
While living in College Station, Texas, Garrett met with local talent scout Nikki Pederson of Nikki Pederson Talent and accepted admission to the International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA). He earned many awards there, including Pre-Teen Male Model of the Year in 2013.
When Garrett was 11, his family moved from Texas to Los Angeles so he could focus on acting. Shortly after, he was cast in the 2014 drama Boychoir alongside Dustin Hoffman, Josh Lucas, Kathy Bates and Debra Winger. His sister Mackenzie was also cast in the movie as his character’s half-sister. Garrett had previously acted in independent films, but Boychoir was his first major role.
After moving to Los Angeles, Garrett worked with famed acting coach Max Decker of CM Acting Studio, who taught him to develop his craft daily.
Garrett credits his influences as Leonardo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp, Nicholas Hoult and Bryan Singer.
