Freya Allen is an English actress best known for her work on the popular Netflix series The Witcher.
Freya was born in Oxfordshire, England, where she attended Headington School in Oxford, the same school actress Emma Watson attended. Wanting to further pursue an acting career, Freya then attended the National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, where as a part of her studies, she starred in the short films Blue Bird (2017) and The Christmas Tree (2017). She then attended the Arts University Bournemouth, where she played the role of Linda in the short film Captain Fierce (2017).
Freya made her professional acting debut in 2018, playing the role of Young Minerva on an episode of the AMC television series Into the Badlands (2018).
In 2019 Freya played the minor role of Mary on an episode of the three-part British television drama miniseries The War of the Worlds (2019).
In 2019, Freya landed a starring role as Princess Cirilla a.k.a. Ciri on the Netflix series The Witcher (2019) alongside Henry Cavill and Anya Chalotra. She was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Performance by a Younger Actor on a TV Series. As of 2024, the show has been renewed for a fourth season, although Henry Cavill will no longer play The Witcher.
Freya made her big screen debut in 2021, playing the role of Young Sam in the action thriller film Gunpowder Milkshake (2021). Most recently, she starred as the human lead Mae in the box office hit Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (2024).
