Francis Glebas earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Pratt Institute in New York, and a Master of Communications from the New York Institute of Technology. He worked at NYIT the Computer Graphics Lab creating television commercials and demos, before going to work for the Walt Disney Studios in 1990. Glebas soon began doing storyboards for features such as Aladdin(1992), The Lion King(1994), Pocahontas (1995), The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996) and Dinosaur (2000) before being assigned to direct the Donald Duck/Noah's Ark section of Fantasia/2000 (1999). He worked on storyboards for Treasure Planet (2002) before being chosen as director of the feature length animated film Piglet's Big Movie (2003).
Glebas regularly teaches storyboarding at UCLA and gives lectures at the Disney Institute.
