ELDEN HENSON

Date of Birth: August 30, 1977

Born in Maryland, Elden Henson moved to California with his family when he was just a toddler and began modeling and doing commercials at a very young age. His first TV acting role came at the age of seven with a guest shot on the series Amazing Stories. When he was nine, he landed a guest appearance on the drama Highway to Heaven, followed by a role in the TV movie Elvis and Me (1988). He appeared in several big budget Hollywood features in small roles before landing the role of Fulton Reed in Disney's Mighty Ducks (1992) at the age of 14. Two Mighty Ducks sequels followed, then Henson went to Boston to attend Emerson College, but dropped out after one semester to return to California and his acting career.

Soon after, Henson (who had been previously billed as Elden Ratliff) landed roles in The Mighty (1998), She's All That (1999) starring Freddie Prinze Jr. and Cast Away (2000), starring Tom Hanks. Henson also played the title role in the TV movie Gift of Love: The Daniel Huffman Story (1999). Although not yet a household name, Henson continued to work steadily with supporting roles in big budget features, including O (2001) starring Julia Stiles and Josh Hartnett (with whom Henson formed a production company called Roulette Entertainment) and Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd (2003), where he met Shia LaBeouf, who was also playing a supporting role. However, the two young actors would next star together in leading roles in the feature film The Battle of Shaker Heights (2003).

Henson lives in Southern California and has a younger brother, Garette Ratliff Henson, who is also an actor.
