Diana Scarwid was born in Savannah, Georgia. A graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Art in New York, Scarwid honed her craft while at the school in productions of Romeo and Juliet, The Women and Craigs Wife. On stage, she has appeared in the National Shakespeare Festival production of Spoon River Anthology in New York, and in productions of Gethasmine Springs and Key Rube in Los Angeles, at the Mark Taper Forum.
