Date of Birth: March 22, 1975
Decended from a long line of filmmakers, this California native was destined for the big screen. The great-grandson of Harry Warner, Warner Bros. Studio founder, and grandson of writer Dwight Hauser, Cole is also the son of actor Gerald Dwight "Wings" Hauser, though he has never been close to his father, having first met him when he was 11 years old. His interest in acting came while in junior high school, and after graduation moved to L.A. to pursue his chosen career.
He landed his first gig in the early '90s with a small role in the anti-Semitism drama School Ties (1992). The film not only gave him his first feature film credit, it also introduced him to a number of up-and-coming stars like Brendan Fraser, Chris O'Donnell, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck—with the latter two becoming good friends.
The following year, Hauser worked on the film, Daze and Confused with Affleck, before going solo into teen films like Skins (1994) (directed by his father), Higher Learning (1995) and All Over Me (1997). The year 1997 also marked his reunion with Affleck and Damon as he played a supporting role in their Oscar-winning film, Good Will Hunting.
On the small screen, Hauser has earned a number of credits including a role in the telefilm A Matter of Justice and a regular gig in Steven Spielberg's High Incident playing Officer Randy Willitz.
Continuing to land major roles in films such as Tigerland (2000), , Hart's War (2002) Paparazzi (2004) and The Break Up (2006), Hauser is finally getting the household name status his co-stars from School Ties enjoy. He most recently starred in the 2014 thriller Transcendence.
Hauser currently resides in Los Angeles with his girlfriend, Cynthia Daniel, and their sons, Ryland and Colt Daniel.
