Chevy Chase Overview

Born in New York City, Cornelius Crane Chase (nicknamed Chevy by his grandmother) began his career as a comedy writer for the Smothers Brothers and National Lampoon. He made his feature film debut in The Groove Tube (1974) which garnered him a spot on the cast of Saturday Night Live during its first season.
