Born in Carbondale, Illinois, Ben Falcone is an actor and comedian who is best known for his various supporting roles in films such as Bridesmaids (2011), The Heat (2013), and Enough Said (2013).

Growing up, he learned how to be comfortable in front of the camera through his father’s production company, Polestar Productions. Ben was also very active in community theater throughout Southern Illinois as a kid. He made his acting debut with a small role as a bank teller in the movie Rennie’s Landing (2001).

Ben has been married to actress Melissa McCarthy since 2005. The two met when both were members of The Groundlings, a Los Angeles improv company that has launched many careers. Their first daughter Vivian was born May 5, 2007, and Melissa had their second daughter Georgette (Georgie) in March 2010.

Ben and Melissa have worked on several movies together. Ben has directed Tammy (2014), The Boss (2016), and Life of the Party (2018), all movies that star his wife. “Movies require traveling and long hours so these were hours we were able to spend together,” Ben has said about working with Melissa. “It actually created more time for us to spend together.”

Other films Melissa and Ben have both been part of include Bridesmaids (2011), Identity Thief (2013), and The Heat (2013). Ben’s biggest film to date without his wife was in the movie Enough Said (2013), in which he co-starred alongside James Gandolfini and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Recently, Ben has been keeping busy with several different projects. He appeared in the film CHIPS (2017) and in Life of the Party(2018) which he wrote, produced and directed. The film starred Melissa in the lead and he also made an apperance.

Ben founded the production company, On The Day, with Melissa. The company is responsible for producing the television series Nobodies for TV Land.

Ben was a screenwriter for the well-known cartoon The Looney Tunes Show from 2011 to 2012. He voiced the character Henery Hawk, as well as several other characters. Ben also co-wrote songs for the animated series. ~Brenden Zerihun
