April Mullen hails from Niagara Falls, Canada. She studied at Ryerson University in Toronto receiving a B.F.A. Honors in Theatre. During her third year at Ryerson April was one of two students chosen to study overseas at the prestigious Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
Acting for over ten years now, some of April's film and television credits include, Rock, Paper, Scissors: The Way of the Tosser, Howie Do It, A History of Violence, Suburban Madness, Rose, 1-800-Missing and Cavedweller. It was her leading role in Cavedweller, an Original Showtime feature that got her nominated for Best Leading Actress by the Young Artist Awards in Los Angeles.
Rock, Paper, Scissors: The Way of the Tosser was her first foray into the world of directing and producing. GravyTrain is her solo Directorial debut.
