Born in Winchester, Massachusetts, Anthony Carrigan discovered a passion for acting early on in his life, studying at Carnegie Mellon University and graduating with a BFA. He made his onscreen debut with guest spots on series like Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2008) before landing his first recurring role as Tyler Davies on The Forgotten (2009-2010).

Anthony became widely recognized for his chilling portrayal of Victor Zsasz on Gotham (2014–2019) and gained critical acclaim as the eccentric and charismatic NoHo Hank in HBO’s Barry (2018–2023), earning three consecutive Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

He has also appeared in films such as Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020) and Fatherhood (2021), and voiced characters in Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo! (2022). Anthony entered the DC Universe as Rex Mason/Metamorpho in Superman (2025).

Diagnosed with alopecia at age three, Anthony lost his hair completely in his twenties and embraced his distinctive look—a choice he credits with unlocking deeper, authentic performances. Off-screen, he’s married to Gia Olimp and is an advocate for body positivity and self-acceptance.
