British actress Anna Walton is new to the feature film scene, but she's quickly making a name for herself. Anna began her career as a model in England, and later decided to step into acting at the Oxford School of Drama. After graduating in 2004, she had a string of appearances on the miniseries Out of Hours and the made-for-TV film Bright Hair.
In 2007, she appeared in the cult-favorites A Girl and a Gun, and Vampire Diary—the latter of which garnered her Best Actress at the 2008 Milan International Film Festival.
Anna's role as Princess Nuala in 2008's Hellboy II: The Golden Army, was not a role she was initially interested in. In an interview with superherohype.com, Walton says she "always thought theater was what I was going to be doing, but I believe in the scripts I've been given and I love the characters, and that's all that really matters to me. I've been incredibly lucky in that sense; I've loved every second of it." The highly anticipated sequel, co-starring Ron Perlman and Selma Blair, propelled the relatively unknown actress into the midst of Hollywood's up-and-coming starlets.
Anna auditioned for her role as Princess Nuala when she was 8½ months pregnant, and she is now mother to a son, Oliver. From 2008 to 2009, she played the title character's wife on the NBC-TV series, Crusoe.
Then, from 2013 to 2015, she played Diane de Poitiers on the popular period drama series Reign.
