Andrew Santino Biography

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Andrew Santino has firmly established himself in the industry, specifically in the world of comedy.

Andrew was raised by a single mother in Section 8 housing in the River North neighborhood. Andrew attended Naperville North High School, graduating in 2002, and then attended Arizona State University.

Andrew has had several stand-up specials on TV, including Home Field Advantage (2017) for Showtime and more recently, Cheeseburger (2023) on Netflix.

Andrew has also established a career in acting. His first credited appearance was in Henry Poole is Here (2008), in which he played a hospital orderly. On television, Andrew has appeared in several shows. His first role was as a series regular on the 2009 series Crafty as the character of Eli. He played the role of Mike on the FXX series Dave, which premiered in 2020. The series stars a fictionalized version of rapper Lil Dicky, and Andrew plays his roommate and later manager.

Andrew has also made numerous guest appearances on popular shows such as The Office, Arrested Development and Curb Your Enthusiasm. In his appearance on the latter, Andrew managed to make Larry David break character, which he cites as one of his proudest moments as a comedian.

On the film side, Andrew has had roles in The Disaster Artist (2017) alongside James Franco and Dave Franco, Friendsgiving (2020) with Malin Akerman and Kat Dennings, and Ricky Stanicky (2024) with Zac Efron and John Cena.

Andrew also produces and hosts his solo podcast Whiskey Ginger, on which he interviews friends in the entertainment industry. In addition, he co-hosts the Bad Friends podcast with fellow comedian Bobby Lee.

Andrew is big sports fan, especially of football and golf.
