ADRIAN PAUL

Date of Birth: May 29, 1959

Born and raised in London, England to an Italian mother and a British father, Adrian Paul started out as a model, a dancer and a choreographer. He eventually decided to go to the United States to launch his acting career, and found his dance experience came in very handy when he immediately landed a recurring role on the ABC drama The Colbys, playing Russian ballet dancer Kolya. He stayed with the show from 1986 to 1987, then made his Broadway debut in the play Bouncers. Back in Los Angeles in 1988, he played another Russian in a guest appearance on the hit series Beauty and the Beast, and made his movie debut in Last Rites (1988).

His second recurring TV role was in the Canadian-filmed sci-fi drama series War of the Worlds, from 1988 to 1989. But it was his starring role as the immortal Duncan MacLeod in The Highlander that brought him widespread fame. Filmed in British Columbia and Europe, the series ran for six years. During his off time, Paul kept busy doing TV movies and feature films, then reprised his role for the feature Highlander: Endgame (2000).

In 2001 he not only took on the lead role in the new Lions Gate Television action series Tracker, but served as executive producer and co-creator as well. When it was cancelled after one season, Paul began accepting work in a variety of small budget films, but his next project has him joining two other British actors -- screen legends Sir Richard Attenborough and John Mills -- in Snow Prince (2005). With his smooth British accent and debonair good looks, he is also one of the actors rumored to be in line to take over as Agent 007 in the next James Bond film.

Married to actress Meilani Paul from 1990 to 1997, Paul is now divorced. His hobbies include golf, volleyball, soccer, reading and martial arts. He also works with P.E.A.C.E. Fun, a foundation designed to help ill, abused and needy children.
