Adrian Martinez Biography

Adrian Martinez was born in New York City and has been working as a professional actor for years.

His acting career started in 1993 when he guest-starred on an episode of America's Most Wanted: America Fights Back. In addition to his on-screen work, Adrian also works in theater and is a member of the LAByrinth Theater Company.

His first film credit was as an extra in Love Is All There Is (1996). In 1998 he appeared in an episode of NYPD Blue and was a background character in A Perfect Murderwith Michael Douglas and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Much of his early career was spent doing guest appearances on shows such as The Sopranos, Sex and the City, and Law & Order, as well as playing small roles in films such as Pieces of April(2003) with Katie Holmes, It Runs in the Family(2003) with Michael Douglas, Taxi(2004) with Queen Latifah and Jimmy Fallon, and The Interpreter(2005) with Nicole Kidman.

In 2010, he appeared as the character Tino in the action-comedy Cop Outwith Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan. That same year, he appeared in Matthew Vaughn’s superhero-comedy Kick-Ass(2010) with Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Nicolas Cage, and Chloë Grace Moretz.

From 2011 to 2012, he played the character Hector in six episodes of A Gifted Man with Patrick Wilson. He followed that up with a small role in the Oscar-nominated film American Hustle starring Christian Bale, Amy Adams, and Bradley Cooper.

In 2015, he played a supporting role in Focuswith Will Smith and Margot Robbie. His role as Farhad was the first main role he had booked in his career of over 20 years. Adrian compares booking the role to "running in a marathon and somebody from the side just reached out and handed me a cup of Champagne."

In 2017, he was a main character on the series The Blacklist: Redemption. He appeared in all eight episodes of the series. That same year, he played a small part in Once Upon a Time in Venice(2017) with Bruce Willis, John Goodman, and Jason Momoa.

In 2019, he appeared in the live-action adaptation of Lady and the Tramp with Tessa Thompson and Justin Theroux. He also joined the main cast of the ABC series Stumptown, playing the role of Tookie. He appeared in all 18 episodes alongside Cobie Smulders and Jake Johnson.

In 2023, he had a supporting role in Renfieldwith Nicholas Hoult and Nicolas Cage. He has also guest-starred on several high-profile series such as Only Murders in the Building, Ghosts, and Severance.

In 2025, he played a supporting role in The Amateurwith Rami Malek, Jon Bernthal, Rachel Brosnahan, and Julianne Nicholson.
