Born in the Scottish town of East Kilbride, Adam Sinclair attended the local east Kilbride rep theater company, which happens to be the same starting point for fellow Scottish actor John Hannah.
He caught the acting bug in early childhood and ultimately, it led him to be accepted in the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD) straight out of high school, following the footprints of other notable Scottish actors like Billy Boyd and Robert Carlyle. Adam eventually graduated after three years with a Bachelor of Arts in acting.
The door to his professional career swung open when he appeared in the Kings Theatre Panto with Elaine C. Smith and the late Gerard Kelly. Spending time in London and forming his own theater company Jockney Productions, Adam also wrote his first play Disintegration. Soon after, he made his feature film debut in To End All Wars, starring Kiefer Sutherland, Robert Carlyle and James Cosmo. On the set he met his future wife, Michelle Kath, who happened to be visiting her stepfather (Kiefer).
Adam starred in ecstasy as Lloyd Buist in the adaptation of Irvine Welsh’s acclaimed novel of the same name.
He and Michelle have two young children togetherQuinn and Hamish.
