Will Arnett describes how Bradley Cooper got involved after Will and co-writer Mark Chappell had written the screenplay for Is This Thing On? He also tells Alexandra Heilbron how he was able to sign up at comedy clubs' open mic nights under his character's name and try out his routines before filming. 

Is This Thing On? is in select theatres starting December 19 and opens nationwide January 9, 2026.
