Interview with Susan Sarandon (The Lovely Bones)

The Lovely Bones is based on the best-selling novel of the same name written by Alice Sebold. Directed by Peter Jackson, it stars Saoirse Ronan (Atonement) as protagonist Susie Salmon, along with Mark Wahlberg and Rachel Weisz as her parents, Jack and Abigail Salmon. Set in the early '70s, the story is told from the perspective of Susie Salmon, who, from heaven, watches her family cope after she is brutally murdered.

Oscar® winning-actress Susan Sarandon plays Susie’s grandmother Lynn, who tries to hold things together after her granddaughter’s murder.

Tribute’s Bonnie Laufer spoke with Sarandon in Los Angeles about working on the film and how she was moved by this haunting story.
