Lee Hirch (Director) Interview
This year, over 5 million kids will be bullied at school, online, on the bus, at home, through their cell phones and on the streets of their hometowns, making bullying the most common form of violence experienced by young people in this country. Director Lee Hirsch, who himself was bullied as a kid, set out to make the hard-hitting, gut-wrenching documentary Bully, which explores how bullying affects the lives of five ordinary children and their families.
Bonnie Laufer from Tribute spoke with Lee via satellite from New York about working on this film, its controversial rating, and why it is absolutely imperative that EVERYONE go see it!
