Eddie Redmayne and Katherine Waterston discuss being "seduced" by the original Harry Potter films, and why their spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is both a "comforting" continuation of that story, as well as a completely separate entity. Katherine then talks about what it was like working with J.K. Rowling and her "lush and explicit" script, revealing the author's unique way of looking at her characters. In addition, Eddie calls J.K. a Harry Potter "encyclopedia," and reminisces about his first conversation with her about Newt Scamander. When asked about interacting with the myriad of creatures in the film, Eddie and Katherine describe director David Yates' interesting way of bringing each beast to life, with Eddie calling those particular scenes "the most fun" to shoot.
